Front desk for dental offices
The front desk is checking a patient out. The phone rings.
A new patient with a toothache calls at lunch, gets voicemail, and calls the next office. NewFrontDesk takes details by chat on your website and puts every enquiry in one inbox; text-back for the calls you miss is built and not switched on yet.
NewFrontDesk is in preview, and no payment is taken until the features in your plan work. This page describes how it is designed to work for dental offices. See what's built today.
Where leads slip away
Three moments a dental office loses a new patient
Lunch and check-out
One person at the desk cannot check a patient out, answer the phone and greet the next arrival.
How the text back works →After hours
A toothache at 9 PM sends someone to your website. If there is no way to leave details, they keep looking.
How web chat takes the details →Scattered messages
Voicemail, the website form and the office email each hold part of the list of people to call back.
How the lead inbox keeps them in order →What you get
Chat, one inbox, text-back when live
Each card says where that feature stands today.
Missed-call text-back
When texting is switched on, a call the front desk couldn't take gets a text from the office's number, so the caller knows you got it. It is built and not sending yet.
- On every plan
- No texts between 9 PM and 8 AM: a call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
- Today: rules work in test mode. It cannot send a real text yet
Web chat
After hours, the chat on your website asks whether they are a new or existing patient, what they need and a callback number. It asks nothing about health history.
- On every plan. Plain guided questions
- Today: working, with test businesses only
Lead inbox
Chats, forms and missed calls land in one list, so the people to call back are not spread across voicemail, email and the website form.
- On every plan. A separate account for each business
- Today: working, with test businesses only
On Pro and Premium: follow-ups. See the plans.
What it takes down
The details that reach your inbox
The chat on your website asks plain questions and saves the answers with the lead, so you can call back prepared.
Details the chat collects
- Name and callback number
- New or existing patient
- What they need: a cleaning, a toothache, a broken tooth
- Days and times that suit them
- Nothing about their health history: the chat does not ask
See how a lead looks in the inbox.
What it won't do
- It won't book or change an appointment in your practice software.
- It won't give dental or medical advice.
- It is not a place for health records: it takes a name, a number and a short message, and you should not use it to send or store patient health information.
The rules every plan follows are on How it works.
Someone with a toothache opens your site after closing.
Web chat · set questions, no AI"We're closed right now. Leave your name, number and what you need, and the office will call you when it opens."
Visitor · 9:13 PM"Pat, new patient. Bad toothache since yesterday, can come any time tomorrow."
Your lead inboxThe message is in your inbox with the number, and an email alert goes to the office. The first person in calls Pat back.
DEMO · sample conversation written by us, not a real customerA made-up example. The web chat and inbox work today with test businesses; missed-call text-back is built but real texts are not being sent yet.

Status checked on October 9, 2026 against the running app and its automated tests. "Working today" means it works on our server with test accounts; it does not mean a customer is using it. Nobody is yet, which is why we take no payment yet. An attorney review comes before any real business uses it.

Questions
Dental offices questions
Does it connect to our practice management software?
No. There is no integration today. It takes the enquiry and hands it to your front desk to call back and book as usual.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
We make no such claim. NewFrontDesk is a lead inbox for a name, a number and a short message. It is not built for patient health information and we have no business associate agreement on offer. Ask your own compliance adviser before using any tool with patient details. General information, not legal advice.
Does it answer the phone?
No. It never answers calls. The web chat and inbox work today; a text back to callers you miss is built and waits to be switched on.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $199 a month with a $299 setup fee, shown on the pricing page. No payment is taken until the features in your plan work.
