Front desk for plumbers
A leak doesn't wait for a callback tomorrow.
When water is on the floor, people call down the list until someone answers. NewFrontDesk texts back the calls you miss, takes details by chat on your website, and puts every lead in one inbox.
NewFrontDesk is in preview, and no payment is taken until the features in your plan work. This page describes how it is designed to work for plumbing companies. See what's built today.
Where leads slip away
Three moments a plumber loses the job
Hands full under a sink
You can't answer with a wrench in one hand, and the caller is already dialing the next plumber.
How the text back works →Nights and weekends
Burst pipes and backed-up drains don't keep office hours. Voicemail does.
How the text back works →Quotes behind emergencies
Water heater and remodel enquiries sit unanswered while the urgent jobs take the day.
How the lead inbox keeps them in order →What you get
Text back, chat, one inbox
Each card says where that feature stands today.
Missed-call text-back
A call you couldn't answer mid-job gets a text from your business number, so the customer knows you got it and can text back what's wrong.
- On every plan
- No texts between 9 PM and 8 AM: a call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
- Today: rules work in test mode. It cannot send a real text yet
Web chat
When nobody's at the desk, the chat on your website asks for the address, what's leaking or clogged and a callback number.
- On every plan. Plain guided questions
- Today: working, with test businesses only
Lead inbox
Chats, forms and missed calls land in one list, so whoever is on call sees what came in and who to ring first.
- On every plan. A separate account for each business
- Today: working, with test businesses only
On Pro and Premium: follow-ups. See the plans.
What it takes down
The details that reach your inbox
The chat on your website asks plain questions and saves the answers with the lead, so you can call back prepared.
Details the chat collects
- Name and callback number
- Service address
- What's leaking, clogged or not working
- Whether water is running right now and if it's been shut off
- How urgent it is
See how a lead looks in the inbox.
What it won't do
- It won't tell anyone how to fix a leak or whether it's safe to wait.
- It won't quote a price you haven't given it.
The rules every plan follows are on How it works.
A customer calls. Nobody can pick up.
Text back · automatic · every plan"Northside Plumbing here. Sorry we missed your call. Tell us your address and what's leaking or clogged, and we'll call back. Reply STOP to opt out."
Customer · 6:43 PM"Kitchen sink is backing up into the dishwasher. 14 Oak St. Can someone come tonight?"
Your lead inboxThe reply lands in your inbox with the caller's number, and you get an email alert. You or your team answer when you're free.
DEMO · sample conversation written by us, not a real customer"Northside Plumbing" is a made-up business. The first text is missed-call text-back, which is on every plan. The reply after it lands in your lead inbox for you to answer.

Status checked on October 9, 2026 against the running app and its automated tests. "Working today" means it works on our server with test accounts; it does not mean a customer is using it. Nobody is yet, which is why we take no payment yet. An attorney review comes before any real business uses it.

Questions
Plumbing questions
Can it tell a customer how to shut off their water?
No. It takes the details and hands them to you. Advice stays with a licensed plumber: you.
Does it work with my dispatch or scheduling software?
Not today. There are no integrations with field service software yet. Every lead is saved in your NewFrontDesk inbox.
Can I choose when text-back is on?
Today text-back has one on/off switch per business; choosing hours is not built. Either way, texts are never sent between 9 PM and 8 AM your local time. A call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
