Front desk for landscapers

You can't hear the phone over a mower.

Spring brings every estimate request at once, while your crews are out and the machines are running. NewFrontDesk texts back the calls you miss, takes details by chat on your website, and puts every lead in one inbox.

NewFrontDesk is in preview, and no payment is taken until the features in your plan work. This page describes how it is designed to work for landscaping and lawn care companies. See what's built today.

Where leads slip away

Three moments a landscaper loses the job

Crews out, engines on

Nobody hears a phone over a mower or a blower, and nobody is in the office.

How the text back works →

The spring rush

Estimate requests arrive in a few weeks and the slowest reply loses the yard.

How the lead inbox keeps them in order →

Evening browsers

Homeowners plan their yards at night, on your website, when you're closed.

How web chat takes the details →

What you get

Text back, chat, one inbox

Each card says where that feature stands today.

On Pro and Premium: follow-ups. See the plans.

What it takes down

The details that reach your inbox

The chat on your website asks plain questions and saves the answers with the lead, so you can call back prepared.

Details the chat collects

  • Name and callback number
  • Property address
  • What they want done: mowing, cleanup, planting, a new install
  • Roughly how big the yard is
  • One-time or regular service

See how a lead looks in the inbox.

What it won't do

  • It won't give an estimate for a yard nobody has seen.
  • It won't promise a start date.

The rules every plan follows are on How it works.

Missed call · 10:05 AM

A customer calls. Nobody can pick up.

Text back · automatic · every plan

"Greenway Lawn Care here. Sorry we missed your call. Tell us your address and what you need done, and we'll call you back. Reply STOP to opt out."

Customer · 10:09 AM

"Looking for weekly mowing and a spring cleanup. Corner lot, 8 Birch Lane."

Your lead inbox

The reply lands in your inbox with the caller's number, and you get an email alert. You or your team answer when you're free.

DEMO · sample conversation written by us, not a real customer

"Greenway Lawn Care" is a made-up business. The first text is missed-call text-back, which is on every plan. The reply after it lands in your lead inbox for you to answer.

The same list applies to every industry. No payment is taken for any of it yet.

BuiltWorking today

Running on our server right now, with made-up test businesses only. No real business is using it yet.

  • Lead inboxEvery lead in one list, with status and notes. Each business has its own login and its own separate data.
  • Web chat for a business's websiteOne line of code. Asks for a name, a phone number and what the visitor needs. Plain questions, no AI. The business picks the colour, the button words, its opening hours and a closed-hours greeting.
  • Contact form linkFor a business with no website. Leads go to the same inbox.
  • Download your leadsEvery lead as a spreadsheet (CSV) whenever you want it. Your data stays yours.
  • Consent recorded with each leadWhether the visitor ticked the box, the exact wording, and when.
  • Owner dashboardLeads this week, typical response time, and missed calls caught.
  • Follow-up reminders (Pro, Premium)Reminds you on day 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 which leads to contact again, with a script to adapt. You make the call or send the message yourself; nothing is sent to the customer automatically.
  • Review requests (Premium)When you mark a job Won, a ready-to-send message with your own review link. You send it yourself.
  • Up to 3 locations (Pro, Premium)Name up to 3 locations. Each gets its own chat line and form link, and every lead shows which location it came in for. A separate phone number for each location is not built.
  • Bookings and a calendar linkGive a lead a date and time, get a warning if two overlap, and see your bookings in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook through a private link. One way: from NewFrontDesk into your calendar.
  • New-lead email alertsAn email tells the business a lead arrived, with the lead's name, phone number and message, and links to the inbox.

NextBeing built

Not working for customers yet.

  • Missed-call text-backThe rules work in test mode: each business's own number and opt-out list, no texts from 9 PM to 8 AM, one text per caller per day. Ready-made messages per trade and a preview tool are in the app. It cannot send a real text yet. That needs a real number per business, the sending step, and each business's carrier registration.
  • Automatic follow-up messagesNot built. Today the app reminds you; it does not send a follow-up for you.
  • Review requests as an add-on for Starter and ProNot built. Premium has them today.

LaterPlanned

On the roadmap. No dates promised.

  • Online sign-up and billingAccounts are set up by hand today, and no payment is taken.
  • AI replies, AI call answering and AI bookingOn the roadmap. Not in any plan.
  • Two-way calendar syncToday bookings flow one way, into your calendar. Reading your calendar back is not built.
  • Reseller program for agencies

Status checked on October 9, 2026 against the running app and its automated tests. "Working today" means it works on our server with test accounts; it does not mean a customer is using it. Nobody is yet, which is why we take no payment yet. An attorney review comes before any real business uses it.

Questions

Landscaping questions

Can it send an estimate?

No. It takes the address and what the customer wants, and you price it. Nothing is quoted for you.

Can customers send photos of the yard?

Not through the chat today. A customer can reply to your email or text with photos in the usual way.

Can I choose when text-back is on?

Today text-back has one on/off switch per business; choosing hours is not built. Either way, texts are never sent between 9 PM and 8 AM your local time. A call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
