Front desk for salons and studios
You can't answer with a client in the chair.
The phone rings while your hands are busy, and a new client books somewhere else. NewFrontDesk texts back the calls you miss, takes details by chat on your website, and puts every lead in one inbox.
NewFrontDesk is in preview, and no payment is taken until the features in your plan work. This page describes how it is designed to work for salons, barbers and studios. See what's built today.
Where leads slip away
Three moments a salon loses a new client
Mid-appointment
You can't stop a color or a cut to pick up, and the front desk is you.
How the text back works →Closed days
Sundays and Mondays are when people plan the week's appointments.
How web chat takes the details →Messages in five places
Calls, texts, social messages and emails each hold part of the picture.
How the lead inbox keeps them in order →What you get
Text back, chat, one inbox
Each card says where that feature stands today.
Missed-call text-back
A call you couldn't take with a client in the chair gets a text from your salon's number, so the caller knows you got it and can text back what they want.
- On every plan
- No texts between 9 PM and 8 AM: a call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
- Today: rules work in test mode. It cannot send a real text yet
Web chat
On closed days, the chat on your website asks which service, which days suit and a callback number.
- On every plan. Plain guided questions
- Today: working, with test businesses only
Lead inbox
Chats, forms and missed calls land in one list, so new-client requests don't hide among everything else.
- On every plan. A separate account for each business
- Today: working, with test businesses only
On Pro and Premium: follow-ups. See the plans.
What it takes down
The details that reach your inbox
The chat on your website asks plain questions and saves the answers with the lead, so you can call back prepared.
Details the chat collects
- Name and callback number
- Which service they want
- Days and times that suit them
- Whether they have a preferred stylist
- Anything you should know before the visit
See how a lead looks in the inbox.
What it won't do
- It won't book or change an appointment in your booking system.
- It won't quote a price you haven't given it.
The rules every plan follows are on How it works.
A customer calls. Nobody can pick up.
Text back · automatic · every plan"Hi, this is Studio Nine. Sorry we missed your call. Tell us what you'd like to book and we'll get back to you. Reply STOP to opt out."
Customer · 11:34 AM"I'd like a cut and color next week, any afternoon. First time with you."
Your lead inboxThe reply lands in your inbox with the caller's number, and you get an email alert. You or your team answer when you're free.
DEMO · sample conversation written by us, not a real customer"Studio Nine" is a made-up business. The first text is missed-call text-back, which is on every plan. The reply after it lands in your lead inbox for you to answer.

Status checked on October 9, 2026 against the running app and its automated tests. "Working today" means it works on our server with test accounts; it does not mean a customer is using it. Nobody is yet, which is why we take no payment yet. An attorney review comes before any real business uses it.

Questions
Salons questions
Does it replace my booking software?
No. It catches the people who called or visited your site and didn't book, and hands them to you. Your booking system stays as it is; there is no integration with it today.
Can clients cancel or reschedule through it?
No. It takes a message and puts it in your inbox. Changes to appointments stay with you.
Can I choose when text-back is on?
Today text-back has one on/off switch per business; choosing hours is not built. Either way, texts are never sent between 9 PM and 8 AM your local time. A call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
