Front desk for electricians
You can't pick up with your hands in a panel.
Electrical work needs both hands and your full attention. NewFrontDesk texts back the calls you miss, takes details by chat on your website, and puts every lead in one inbox.
NewFrontDesk is in preview, and no payment is taken until the features in your plan work. This page describes how it is designed to work for electrical contractors. See what's built today.
Where leads slip away
Three moments an electrician loses the job
Working live
You don't answer the phone in a panel or on a ladder, and you shouldn't.
How the text back works →After a storm
Outage and damage calls arrive in a burst, faster than one office line can take them.
How the text back works →Small jobs that never get called back
Outlets, fixtures and EV charger quotes are easy to lose behind the bigger work.
How the lead inbox keeps them in order →What you get
Text back, chat, one inbox
Each card says where that feature stands today.
Missed-call text-back
A call you couldn't answer on the job gets a text from your business number, so the customer knows you got it and can text back what's wrong.
- On every plan
- No texts between 9 PM and 8 AM: a call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
- Today: rules work in test mode. It cannot send a real text yet
Web chat
When nobody's at the desk, the chat on your website asks for the address, what's wrong and a callback number.
- On every plan. Plain guided questions
- Today: working, with test businesses only
Lead inbox
Chats, forms and missed calls land in one list, with a status on each, so small jobs stop slipping behind big ones.
- On every plan. A separate account for each business
- Today: working, with test businesses only
On Pro and Premium: follow-ups. See the plans.
What it takes down
The details that reach your inbox
The chat on your website asks plain questions and saves the answers with the lead, so you can call back prepared.
Details the chat collects
- Name and callback number
- Service address
- What's wrong or what they want installed
- Whether anything is sparking, hot or smells of burning
- Home or business
See how a lead looks in the inbox.
What it won't do
- It won't tell anyone that wiring is safe or how to fix it.
- It won't quote a price you haven't given it.
The rules every plan follows are on How it works.
A customer calls. Nobody can pick up.
Text back · automatic · every plan"Lakeview Electric here. Sorry we missed your call. Tell us your address and what's going on, and we'll call you back. Reply STOP to opt out."
Customer · 2:17 PM"Half the outlets in my kitchen stopped working. No burning smell. 220 Pine Ave."
Your lead inboxThe reply lands in your inbox with the caller's number, and you get an email alert. You or your team answer when you're free.
DEMO · sample conversation written by us, not a real customer"Lakeview Electric" is a made-up business. The first text is missed-call text-back, which is on every plan. The reply after it lands in your lead inbox for you to answer.

Status checked on October 9, 2026 against the running app and its automated tests. "Working today" means it works on our server with test accounts; it does not mean a customer is using it. Nobody is yet, which is why we take no payment yet. An attorney review comes before any real business uses it.

Questions
Electricians questions
What if a caller describes something dangerous?
The chat and text-back only take details; they give no safety advice. Your own greeting and your reply should tell people what to do in an emergency, as you already would by phone.
Can it book the job on my calendar?
Not by itself. You can give any lead a booked date and time in the inbox, and see your bookings in your own calendar through a private link.
Can I choose when text-back is on?
Today text-back has one on/off switch per business; choosing hours is not built. Either way, texts are never sent between 9 PM and 8 AM your local time. A call missed overnight gets its text at 8 AM.
