NewFrontDesk vs Enzak: an honest comparison

Enzak sells missed-call text-back as a product on its own, at a low monthly price. That is the closest thing on the market to the first feature on our own list, so it is a comparison worth making carefully.

The short answer: Enzak's missed-call text-back plan is shown at $20 a month with 1,000 texts, beside a crossed-out $99 and the words "first month 80% off," so we cannot tell you its regular price for certain. Either way it is much cheaper than NewFrontDesk ($199 to $449 a month), and it sends texts today, which ours does not yet. NewFrontDesk adds website chat, a lead inbox with statuses and notes, and setup done for you. If all you want is a text to go out when you miss a call, Enzak is the simpler and cheaper answer right now. Work out what that is worth with the missed calls calculator.

What Enzak's pricing says

We read the pricing section of Enzak's own website. It lists one main plan, two add-ons and an enterprise tier.

  • Missed Call Text Back Service. Shown at $20 a month, with $99 crossed out and "first month 80% off." It includes 1,000 text messages a month, custom voice greetings and custom texts for working hours and after hours, and reporting. Extra user accounts are $10 each.
  • Visual voicemail add-on. Shown at $15 a month ($75 crossed out): voicemail notes, notifications and transcription.
  • Call-back request add-on. Shown at $10 a month ($49 crossed out).
  • Enterprise. 10,000 texts a month and 10 users; no public price.

The page's FAQ adds that two-way texting costs an extra $49. It lists no setup fee, contract length or trial period.

A caution on the headline number: because $20 sits beside "first month 80% off" and a crossed-out $99, the page can be read two ways. Ask Enzak which price applies from month two before you compare. Whatever the provider, the rules for the text itself are the same; see what counts as consent to text a customer.

The real difference: one job, or three

Enzak does one job: when you miss a call, the caller gets a text. It is priced like a single feature.

NewFrontDesk treats that as one of three jobs. The other two are a chat on your website that takes details at any hour, and a single inbox where every enquiry has a status, notes and a booked time. Those two work today; the texting does not yet. The full picture is on how it works, and you can click through a made-up inbox in the sample inbox.

When Enzak is the better choice

  • You only want a text to go out when you miss a call.
  • You want it working this week. NewFrontDesk's texting is still in test mode.
  • Price is the deciding factor.
  • You are fine setting up your own greetings and messages.

If that is you, go with them. A tool you can switch on today beats one that is still in preview. Either way, first find out what your missed calls are worth with the missed calls calculator.

When NewFrontDesk may fit better

  • You want website enquiries and missed calls handled in one place.
  • You want to track each lead: new, contacted, booked, won.
  • You want the setup done for you, and can wait for texting until carrier registration is approved.

What we have not checked

We have not used Enzak. We read its public pricing page and nothing else, so we say nothing here about its support, its app or how well it works. Features and prices change; its own page is the final word. NewFrontDesk is in preview with no paying customers yet, which is a real difference and belongs in any fair comparison. Questions about us: call (346) 913-7215 or request setup.

Questions

About this comparison

Is Enzak cheaper than NewFrontDesk?

Yes. Its missed-call text-back plan is shown at $20 a month (with $99 crossed out and a first-month discount noted) against our $199 to $449 a month. Our plans cover more jobs, but if you need only the text-back, the cheaper tool is the sensible pick.

What is Enzak's regular price?

We cannot say for certain. Its page shows $20 a month, a crossed-out $99 and "first month 80% off" together. We report what the page shows and suggest asking Enzak directly.

Is NewFrontDesk live?

It is in preview. The lead inbox, web chat, form link and new-lead emails work today. Missed-call text-back is built but sends no texts until carrier registration is approved, and no payment is taken until the features in a plan work. The dated list is on the status board.
